More than once she has noticed her strange behaviors.
She asked her if everything was okay at home, she always replied with a smile.
But that couldn't be true.
Something was there.
They have to go to the cinema.
Appointment at four at her house, as always.
At quarter past four still nothing.
She sends her a couple of messages, the trailers will pass, where was she?
She tries ringing the door, no response.
The cell phone rings empty.
After about twenty minutes she decides to enter, she knows that she keeps a key in the flowerpot outside the door.
she finds it.
She opens the front door and climbs the stairs.
She rings once before entering, to be sure.
Maybe she just fell asleep.
Or she's taking a shower.
Or she forgot.
Please let it be that, she simply forgot.
Something falls, breaks.
She shivers, and realizes she is holding her breath.
Only when something bad is about to happen we hold our breath.
Come on, breathe again!
Breathe and nothing will happen.
She calls her.
She advances into the corridor which seems to get darker with every step she takes.
This is not the time for a panic attack.
She arrives at the door of her room.
She whispers her name again, opening the door.
She is sitting on the bed, looking at her.
Her hands are in her lap and they are shaking.
She asks what happened.
She smiles.
Nothing.
She sits next to her.
Asks where he is.
She still smiles.
She shakes her hand and brings her index finger to her lips.
She gets up and gestures for her to follow.
She realises she's holding her breath again.
Doesn't want to go with her.
Doesn't want to know.
She whispers that they should hurry , as they can still make it to the half past five screening.
She looks at her like she said something stupid.
“Friend, we're not going to the movies today”.
She also speaks in a low voice.
Only secrets are whispered in the ear.
But she doesn't want secrets.
They walk slowly towards the living room, look at the photos hanging on the corridor walls, all those smiling faces.
All that love.
She has the chills.
She stops in front of the entrance, doesn't want to be there.
But she pulls her back with a firm grip.
You must see, seems to be telling her.
And she sees.

The chair on the ground. The glass of the shattered furniture.
When she sees him, his eyes wide and empty, she collapses to the ground on her knees.
"What did you do".
She is crying, but smiling.
Tells her he didn't want to let her out.
The film would be finished too late.
"So you killed him?".
She swallows a tear too, and bites her lip after saying those words.
She tries to get closer, but instinctively recoils.
She suddenly becomes serious.
Tells her that there is no reason to be afraid.
"You killed him!".
She looks at him, crying.
She tells her he deserved it.
She takes off his sweater.
And she sees.
She sees him pulling her arm, sees the hitting in the ribs, sees all the fights and all the kicks.
She puts her hands to her face, her head is spinning, air is missing.
She doesn't move. She just tells her to calm down.
"Why didn't you tell me anything!"
She tells her not to scream.
Because there's no need, nobody ever comes.
