ODE TO THE WOMEN

I love being a woman

the complexity of our being fascinates me

I love our body

sinuous curve

imperfect work

force linked to the elements

true nature

I love being a woman but i had to learn how

Ode to the woman

Ode to the women who made me a woman when I was a child

To their hands full of caresses and hugs and slaps and hitting

and kisses and insults and love

Because each of their gestures has forged me

Ode to the women who have been my friends

And that still are

Full of footsteps, and holdings, and arms tied, and tears, and hair in the mouth at night in bed, and flying words and printed words

Ode to women

To women who give and take back and give more

To their force that put

Higher and carries every emotion

Ode to women

To the joy of their smile

Ode to the women in my life

Thank you for your tireless sisterhood

Ode to women

Chin up my ladies

Always
